You might say I have a few screws loose, but I have finally thought of a DIY project that I think is worth sharing and it's SUPER easy too! Screw earings! I mean...uhrr...earings made out of screws...:)
What you'll need:
2 of these funky little sharpish metal thingys...aka: SCREWS |
2 twisted wire needles
1 pair of (in my case, RUSTY) beading pliers |
A pair of earring hooks (that means 2 of this little baby) |
And lastly:
Nailpolish! |
Do This:
Slightly bend the wire around the screw. |
Now bend it with the pliers. |
See if it fits snugly around the screw... |
and if it does, start twisting it toward the sharp point. |
Now bend the loop upward so that it's straight (trust me, you do not want a skew earring!) |
They should look like this...remeber to turn them into earings by adding earring hooks! To find out how to do that, click here.
Drumroll please...
VOILA! |
You can leave yours unpainted or give them a pop of color with your favourite polish. Let them dry and then... HAPPY WEARING! |
P.S.: The coiling (twisting the wire needles around) takes practice to perfect, so don't get down in the dumps if you "screw up";)
----The End----
